Frequently Asked Questions
What image should I use as source?
Use a square image (1:1 aspect ratio) at least 512×512px. SVG files work best since they scale perfectly. PNG with transparency is also ideal.
Which favicon sizes do I need?
At minimum: 16×16 and 32×32 for browsers, 180×180 for Apple devices, and 192×192 for Android. A 512×512 PNG is needed for PWA splash screens.
How do I install the favicon on my website?
Place the generated files in your site root and add the HTML link tags provided in the download package to your HTML head section.
